Kate Finnegan, Ph.D.

Hello, and thank you for considering me to be your therapist! I hold a specialization in working with those who have experienced trauma, as so many people have. My approach includes helping you to first feel safe in therapy, followed by processing the ways trauma has impacted your life, relationships, and sense of self. l believe that the therapeutic relationship calls for care and curiosity, and I work to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs, identities, and ways of being.
My practice integrates insight-oriented processing with body-based approaches such as Somatic Experiencing and mindfulness skills. This mind–body approach supports clients in exploring meaning and relational patterns while gently working through stress and trauma at a pace that feels safe.
Through a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, my goal is to help you identify aspects of your life that you would like to change and help you to use the strengths you already possess to craft a meaningful, authentic life.
